Inside the Basilica of Constantine, Trier

The Aula Palatina, at Trier, Germany is a Roman palace basilica that was built by the emperor Constantine (AD 306–337) at the beginning of the 4th century. Nowadays it is a Protestant Church, which I find slightly amusing if you take into account that the Roman Empire went over into the Catholic Church.
