Just reading up on Vivian Maier; I only first learned about her after reading an article in the BJP magazine; if you haven’t heard of her, I recommend you check out this blog. The story of how John Maloof discovered these photos is interesting, and we must all rejoice that he recognized the importance of the find at the auction and decided to make the work available to all. The real heroine is of course Vivian Maier, who, on every day off, went out with her box camera and photographed Chicago and its Chicagoans.
