My trusty old Pentax ME with winder and SMC Pentax-M F/1.7 50mm lens. It is the camera for which I worked evenings for half a year in my youth to earn the money I needed to buy it. I still use this lens on my Pentax MZ-S where it excels in contrast and sharpness. Camera is still in working condition.
I don’t have much experience with still lifes and lighting a shot like this. I used the white, foamy packing material that usually is wrapped around electrical appliances and propped it up to the window to create a diffuse backlight. I then spot-metered a gray card held next to the subject to get the exposure.
