Pilgrim names at Yamadera

Shot on Fuji Neopan Acros 100 at EI 100, developed in HC-110 dilution E for 7 minutes. Agitation: 2 inversions every 30 seconds.

Pilgrims stick seals with their names to the temple ceilings and walls to commemorate their visit. I must have last visited Yamadera in 1999, somehow it looked smaller in 2018. In 1999 it was snowing and nobody else was there, this time it was full of Japanese and non-Japanese tourists.
The same soba restaurant was there at the foot of the steps with the same old lady inviting us in, glad that nothing had changed in the large portions of cold soba, loved it!
