Preparing unagi at Kawatoyohonten, Narita

At Kawatoyohonten restaurant, the eel are killed and prepared to be turned into unagi on a large wooden table facing the street. I was amused by the recent commercial that was pulled later of the girl posing as an eel being fattened for unagi. Somehow they didn’t include the part in the video where the eel is put on the wooden table with a metal spike through it and cleaned to be broiled in a special sauce 🙂
