One of the photos my father took of me as a kid, I must have been two years old, or so. Cute? It must have been taken in Vilsteren where, because my father and a few friends extinguished a bushfire at one time, our family was always allowed to wild camp on the domain in the forest. In the forest were several water pumps, I remember from later camping trips.
I’m in the process of scanning a few old family photos that my father took with his old 6×6 box camera. Something must have been wrong with the camera judging by the light leaks that would suggest the use of a Holga if they had existed at the time 🙂
Additional 2011/02/27: These photos were taken with a Philips Box Flash camera on 620 format film, see here. My father used to have one of these; he worked at Philips almost all his life so no doubt he could buy it at a discount from the company store. The story is that he lent it to a neighbour who accidentally dropped it in a river in Germany. The camera was recovered from the river somewhere downstream and via the police report made it back to my father 6 months later, and it still worked.
