Young miko at Hiroshima Shrine

Young miko at Hiroshima Shrine
For the Shichi-Go-San (七五三) festival for three- and seven-year-old girls and three- and five-year-old boys, the families visit a Shinto shine in early November. This miko was handing out balloons to keep the kids dressed up in kimono happy, the moment she noticed me pointing my camera, she posed for me, I’m sure she was only temporarily helping out as a miko and was delighted. 🙂
