I really had to manoeuvre to get this shot looking like it is in the middle of an empty landscape; behind the rock in the distance are loads of parked cars that would have spoiled the shot. With the amazing weather we had in early October, the hiking trails did look like Bond Street in the week before Christmas at times. ADOX CHS 25 ART at EI 25, developed in HC-110 dilution E for 10:30 minutes. Agitation: 2 inversions every 30 seconds.

Taken with a yellow filter (K2) and, although the sky was overcast that morning, it did bring out a little of the clouds. I do like these rock formations, the hiking trail was just passing underneath this location, but it was surprising to see how few footsteps actually led up to the rocks. I bet it were only photographers who went out of their way to get close for a great shot. ADOX CHS 25 ART at EI 25, developed in HC-110 dilution E for 10:30 minutes. Much closer to Edale is this tiny wooden bridge over another stream. The light was difficult with the bridge in the shade and the background in the afternoon sun but I think all parts do come together in a way. ADOX CHS 25 ART at EI 25, pre-soaked film for 3 minutes, developed in APH 09 1:80 for 12 minutes. Agitation: 2 inversions every 30 seconds for two minutes, then 2 inversions every minute.

This is a classical photo of the Peak District, it is the stone bridge over a wee burn just at the bottom of the Jacob's Ladder. The Pennine Way starts at the pub in Edale and then follows the valley until the Jacob's Ladder takes it up to Kinder Scout, the highest gritstone peak in the Peak District. The stone bridge is a pretty popular place to rest, so the main problem was to get a shot without any people in the shot as I was trying to emphasize the man-made structure and how it fits in this partly man-made and partly forces of nature made landscape ADOX CHS 25 ART at EI 25, pre-soaked film for 3 minutes, developed in APH 09 1:80 for 12 minutes.
